The LSI Catalyst Scholarship supports exceptional applicants who want to use technology to create meaningful, measurable positive impact. It is open to applicants pursuing work in areas such as education, health, accessibility, sustainability, civic technology, responsible AI, social inclusion, public-interest innovation, or other forms of tech-for-good.
The scholarship provides £6,000 towards tuition fees for any eligible LSI master’s programme. Awards are limited and competitive. This is a needs-based scholarship intended for applicants who cannot afford the tuition fees, either independently or with financial support from relatives, employers, or government loan schemes, and who would therefore be unable to enrol without the scholarship.

When applying for a postgraduate programme at LSI, you can select this scholarship and upload a personal statement (up to 1,000 words) to make your case, demonstrate how you qualify for this scholarship and why you should be selected.
If offered a place at LSI, and shortlisted based on your personal statement, you will be invited for a video call (typically 20-30 minutes). This is your opportunity to bring your application to life, showcase your motivation, and explain how you meet the scholarship criteria.
If successful at the interview stage, your application will be sent to the scholarship panel to review against other shortlisted applicants and to and make a decision. You will be notified about the outcome via email.
Applications are open throughout the year with no fixed deadline. Catalyst Scholarship applications are reviewed competitively and awards may be allocated before a cohort closes. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early, as meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an award.
